I94: The number should be same for all. You need a copy of most recent one. Although, layers have been taking copies of all I94s. To be on safer side, you can send copies of all I94s.
AP: You can travel on valid AP. Return before it expires.
Renewd AP: It will have new valid dates. When you get this (in USA) then you can use it for travel. I am not sure whether it is OK or not OK to tell friend to mail it in your country of visit and try to come back on this.

I read a few of the comments and quickly realized that its just trash
I refuse to post a comment when the caliber of people commenting on there is so low that they will gain nothing from my comments and only possibly use it to spread more hatred.
All they are doing is openly showing that they have no intelligence and are not worth the attention they get.
Why bother to comment when they can't finish a proper sentence without abusing. I got better things to do.
Whoever is loud gets heard.

I am on H1b visa and I was laid off by company A and company B offered me a position and initiated my H1 transfer process. When is company B liable to start my salary ?

Who will be responsible for psychological torcher with less then 50% pay.
Socially isolated coz of not driving.
How one can see the big time loss of applicant.
3 years easily one can wait can say but why for more then 6 yers.
Who are talking time management that didn't applies here.
Who are talking productinve loss for applicant who can earn more then 80k coz of LC approval not who is responsible.
This shows the effect of retrogression!!

It all boils down to the relationship you have with the employer and how flexible they are w.r.t immigration policies etc.
I know of people who were involved from day 1 till they filed 485 and I know of people who were not involved untill filing of 485 had to be done.
Your case it looks like that employer wont tell you if he has an approved 140. If that is true then you will only get involved when your PD is current- to file AOS.

Thanks fromnaija, If she maintains any non-immigrant visa she can be added without any 'follow-to-join' petetion right i.e., she can be added to my 485 just like the normal process when my PD becomes current.

Why do you think anyone in India including the government will spend there political good will to help people like us? Since we are planning to leave India for good and possibly become USC in due course of time there is nothing to gain from helping people like us. . They might ask for H1/L1 etc because it impacts Indian companies.
