dude, leave alone pr, i have a canadian passport, this cbsa (canada border services agency) lady one day asked me "who are you going to meet in canada?"
i could not believe the stupidity of this woman. So, i replied "mr. Dhurandhar bhadvadekar"..
She waited a second to digest it, then said, "okay..go..!!"..

My check has a temp address of NJ - After that my address changed 3 times ... I didn't even mention that address in G325 because i stayed there for 30 days temporarily ....
Am i screwed ? This thing is going beyond Limit now... They are NOT leaving any option other than settling to other countries like CANADA or Europe...
I got the info from my friends attorney.

Try the easy way first, which would be to go to the port of entry where you got the incorrect I-94 and request them politely. It is really in their hands if they want to correct it.
But then they usually tell you to go out of the country and get a new I-94. If you end up doing this, show the greatest expiration date, be it 797, or VISA, to the immigration officer.
Whatever it is, you need to fix your I-94. Keeping your current I-94 will put you out-of-status once the date expires. Why the complications?

no ... EB2 labor/petition to transfer was not filled either .... absolutely nothing was done except for EAD/AP renewal few months ago and I got EAD/AP approval notice couple of months back without any issues :confused:

My last annual H1B extension ritual (8th year) took 10 months. The corresponding H4 extension was approved in 1 month though. No RFEs etc. Go figure :)
I am gearing up for this year's ritual again now -- hope its less than 10 months this year ..

We figured if we file h1 and H4 together under premium processing, both cases will be processed as premium (at least that was our previous experience - 3 times in the past).
H1 (7th yrs) extension was processed within 10 days, my h4 is dragging for almost 3 full months. RFE said that they want to see copy of 7th yr h1 approval...:mad:
The only good thing is that hubby's I-140 has been recently approved so at least we will have time to recuperate and then file for 3 yrs extension around Christmas.
And if we are lucky:D Canada PR will arrive before we celebrate our 9yrs in US.
I do not think we will stick around forever, if CIR does not survive conference...no point in slaving 4 more yrs till our PD becomes current..

Adjustment Applicant--(c)(9). File your EAD application with a copy of the receipt notice or other evidence that your Form I-485, Application for Permanent Residence, is pending. You may file Form I-765 together with your Form I-485.

I spoke to Cigna (I have Cigna access plus). As long as claims are for preventative care, Cigna will reimburse. Vaccinations, Tests and X-Ray will be covered. I intend to file a claim, let's see whether I get anything.

the reference to mexicans here is defnintely uncalled for and has racist odor. You could have used "illegal immegrant" as they can be from any country in the world. My company lawyers have been preparing for the last 5 months to file for my PERM application. After completing the recruitment stage and getting ready to file, they for some reason have come to the conclusion that the high number of resumes received could land the company in trouble for this case plus future applications.
Has anybody seen this before. Is there any precedence that a company that receives large number of resumes for the position might cause issues? Even if they have done the due diligence to review all resumes and interview candidates that they deemed fit? Still not finding anybody worthwhile?
Any comments/ assistance would be most appreciated.

Hello Gurus,
I am planning for H1B visa stamping at Mumbai consulate in July this year. I am not aware of the current extension process. I will appreciate if anybody can share his/her knowledge on the same.
FYI: I have got my first H1B extension for the next 3 years & i am with the same company all this period.
As far as my information goes, i will first have to get HDFC receipt by asking somebody in India to fill the visa fees on my behalf. and then I have to fill DS156 & DS157 electronically?
Kindly share your knowledge, thoughts and advices.

As per law,, they should not do it for 6 months old approved I140 ?
As I posted earlier, I had left Company A before the I-140 approval, so I don't really know how long they waited before withdrawing the approved I-140.
Are you sure that there is a law regarding the 6 month period? AFAIK, this only applies when you have filed you I-1485. If it's prior to that, AC-21 doesn't apply...

As you understand there is no magic correct solution to this situation, but, whichever decision you make about which line your mother-in-law stands in, she should be well prepared to document her intention to return to her home abroad after her visit to the US. Documents she should be prepared to show could include: proof of home ownership or long term lease abroad, proof of bank accounts abroad, proof of car ownership abroad, fixed date return ticket, proof of family abroad--husband and/or other children/grandchildren, proof of some specific event she plans to attend abroad such as wedding or other invitations, etc.
